Olaf C Rock B Sc (Chem. Eng) is a Chartered, and a European, Patent Attorney; a UK Trade Mark Attorney, and a Professional Representative before the Office for the Harmonization of the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs). His experience of intellectual property covers forty years starting in the Civil Service, moving into corporate practice and currently in private practice.

For over twenty years Rock and Company has built up an extensive background of practical and theoretical experience providing clients with information and action involving all areas of intellectual property.

This has included protecting inventions (by patents), designs (by registration and design right), good will (by trade marks both registered and unregistered) and publications, software and data bases (by copyright).

We carry out searches based on a number of possible criteria including establishing whether or not a concept is novel. We prepare and submit intellectual property applications and prosecute them to grant in the United Kingdom, Europe and throughout the World. Following grant we undertake maintenance where required. In the event that rights are infringed (whether those rights belong to our client or to somebody else) we advise and undertake or instruct action to resolve the matter.
